For admission first off all you have to give the entrance exam which is either conducted by college or by any other organization whose score is accepted by the institute.

IEM Kolkata Placements
Placements have been very good in the college. College has a very good alumni network along with a good placement cell which helps students get jobs in various top-notch companies.
Some of the jobs that students get are:
- Amazon hired 8 students at a package of INR 32 LPA for SDE role.
- 44 students have been hired by TCS at a package of INR 7.5 LPA.
- 6 students have been selected by GreyB Analytics at a package of INR 7 LPA.
- 24 students have been selected by Infosys for Specialist Programmer and System engineer at a package between INR 5 to 8 LPA.
IEM Kolkata Scholarships
College provides scholarships to students on the basis of marks in class 12th, engineering semester CGPA and overall performance. College denoted INR 25,00,000 in scholarships. Also, there are various scholarships that are provided to students by state and central government to those students who are financially weak.

College infrastructure is good. Though campus area is small but you will find most of the facilities that you would be required during your study like

- Nirvana: It is a 5 day inter college fest of IEM, Kolkata organized by Department of Computer Application and Science. Here both technical and non-technical events take place in IEM Ashram Campus.
- Smart Maker Fest: Smart Maker is the fusion of raw, trendy and vibrant ideas. Along with a live demonstration there were hands-on workshops and various other activities. It was primarily designed for showcasing makers who are exploring new forms and technologies.

IEM Kolkata: MBA Admission 2024
IEM Kolkata offers MBA in Human Resource, Management Information System, Finance, Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, and Marketing
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for admission in the MBA program offered at IEM Kolkata must have completed their graduation with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
Selection Criteria
Admission to the MBA program is based on a valid percentile score obtained by the candidates in Common Admission Test (CAT) or IEMJEE. Candidates selected are later called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion Rounds. Final admission is granted based on the combined score obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam and PI rounds.

IEM Kolkata: M.Tech Admission 2024
IEM Kolkata provides three different specializations for M.Tech, such as, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Information Technology.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for admission to any of these specializations must have completed their B.Tech. or BE degree in the respective discipline from any recognized university.
Selection Criteria
Selection to the M.Tech. program at IEM Kolkata is based on rank obtained by the candidate in entrance examinations such as GATE, PGET, and IEMJEE. The selection process further includes PI and group discussion rounds. Overall performance in entrance tests, PI, and group discussions is considered while final selection.
